February 14, 2025
Artificial intelligence can make the world more efficient, innovative and liveable in many areas. In this episode of "We Are TUM", the podcast team talks to CIO Alexander Braun about the new AI strategy of our university - and about the potential applications and risks of this technology.
The podcast also takes a look at the current use of artificial intelligence in research and teaching: Alena Buyx, Professor of Ethics in Medicine and Health Technologies, presents outstanding successes, particularly in medical research.
Her team at the TUM Institute for the History and Ethics of Medicine, for example, has developed the interdisciplinary "Embedded Ethics and Social Science" approach. Here, the researchers help to curate and clean up data sets with regard to possible bias.
Media didactics expert Ben Lenk-Ostendorf shows how AI can be meaningfully integrated into didactic concepts and training for teachers.
