Dr. des. Maximilian Buschmann receives dissertation award of the Bavarian America Academy

The award ceremony took place during the international BAA annual conference with the theme "Representations and Uses of the American Revolution in Past and Present" on Thursday, July 07, 2022, at 6 p.m. in the Amerikahaus Munich. In 2021, he received his doctorate from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich with his dissertation on "Hunger Strikes. Transnational History of a Protest and Subjectification Practice. USA ca. 1880-1945." BAA board member Prof. Dr. Volker Depkat (University of Regensburg) welcomed the two award winners on site as well as online. Maximilian Buschmann received his prize in person (see picture), Nicole Schneider was connected virtually.
