Clinical Ethics Forum: Moral stress - does it affect me?

16 Jun 2021 - 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

When physicians, nurses or other members of the treatment teams act against personal and professional values, a conflict of values can turn into moral stress. The effects on each individual and on the quality of medical and nursing care have been proven.
What is moral stress? How can we perceive moral conflict and the stress? And how can we counter it? In the context of these questions, aspects of multi- and interprofessional cooperation and preventive measures will also be addressed.
