"Science is the best job in the world."

Prof. Alena Buyx as a guest on the "People of Science" podcast

Prof. Alena Buyx says that for her, "science is the best job in the world. She tells us why this is so in the recently released episode of the podcast "People of Science" by Deutschlandfunk Kultur and ARTE, which explores the question of which people are behind "science".

Alena Buyx talks about how setbacks and coincidences have also made her what she is today. The exchange with host Bertolt Meyer also focuses on the different areas of medical ethics and what makes medical ethics a normative science in particular. Prof. Buyx describes what an ethical analysis can look like and that, above all, the opportunities and risks that new developments bring with them must be weighed up in the social context.
